What is PTO?

Our Parent / Teacher Organization (PTO) is made up of parents, teachers, staff and community members who work together to create a better school and a better educational experience for our children by filling in the gaps of the needs of our students, teachers and staff. We strive to build an atmosphere where teachers, administrators and support staff can do their best work, allowing the students better success at school.

What does PTO do for Narcoossee Elementary School?

Quite simply, we try to find ways to help make our school the best possible learning environment for our students, teachers, staff and parents. We organize fundraisers, fun events for families and the community for the students to enhance their education.

Why should I join the PTO?

• To stay informed on current events; We plan many events during the school year.
• To meet other parents and volunteers; You can learn from other PTO members and even make new friends!
• To have a voice; Help determine how PTO monies will be used to meet the needs of our Students, Teachers and Staff by funding requests that would otherwise go unmet due to school district and/or state budget limitations.
• To witness improvement; When you get involved, you can help make positive changes and see those changes first hand.
• Teach your child to become a leader; Showing the leader in you will bring out the leader in your child. You will become a role model and will demonstrate to your child the importance you have placed on his or her education and becoming a part of a community that works together.
